"Its Wedding Day"
June 28, 2013

Beekman 1802 Farm, Sharon Springs, New York

Well not my wedding of course, but a huge deal in my world. I couldn't sleep the night before and all that was on my mind was the wedding. I was asked weeks before the big day, to photograph the numerous guests as they arrived for the big day along with the dish they prepared for their food to pass. These photographs would later on be used in a cook book, I know how exciting?
Getting up early and as I got my self all dressed up, I kept saying to my self, "I got this." All the camera gear in the Porter Case was in the back of the car and my mother, assistant Cindy and myself were on our way.
We were there standing in the driveway once again, I couldn't be happier. All the camera crews and other photographers were there setting up and I felt like I fit in with the crowd. Josh and Brent, and don't forget Önder running around, came over and told us more about the ceremony and where he would like me to stand to get the shots he wanted. It was very creative.
Some celebrities say they don't like the cameras right in their faces but as soon as the crew came towards me, I was ready to sign my name so I can have a T.V show about me.
The Guests started to arrive and the show was beginning. Seeing all the creative dishes and hearing the history behind some of the recipes was the reminder of the day that when a community of people not necessarily in the same state comes together, they can create and add to a celebration that makes it that much more special.
After 250 guests the ceremony began, seeing Josh and Brent smile was the life of the party, and don't forget about the crowd and their mucking boots.
The experience for me was unbelievable and I thank Josh and Brent myself for including me in their special day. Congrats guys!!

Meeting The Beekman Boys
June 14th 2013
It was a starstruck moment for myself. Driving to their house was a suspenseful moment, like one on a roller-coaster ride. Pulling in their driveway for me was like, "here I am, were are the cameras?." My first greeter was a little black puppy mixed between a Black Lab and one other type of dog named Önder, she was quite happy to meet us. Josh came down off of the wrap- around porch and introduced himself, shortly before Brent.
My Mother and I met with them and they reviewed my portfolio and we walked around some of the property discussing were the best place would be to put the table with the recipes and dishes that the guests would bring before the wedding ceremony would begin. I was so excited, not only to being able to take all different kinds of pictures involving food but to have the experience of a lifetime attending their wedding.
With a meeting shortly after the one with us, the boys had to leave, but made it clear that I Could capture all the beautiful flowers that surround the Beekman Mansion. Thanks Josh And Brent for the opportunity and I enjoyed meeting with you, see you soon.
